Why Should You Elope?
After the excitement of getting engaged happens, the reality of wedding planning sets in. For some couples, that is truly exciting and they are energized at the thought of planning a wedding. They pull up their Pinterest inspiration wedding boards and get to work. While others dread the tasks of finding a venue and vendors and being responsible for paying for a wedding. And no matter which side you fall on, it's completely ok! But if the thought of planning a wedding completely overwhelms you, an elopement may be right for you! Here's a few other reasons why an elopement might be right for you…
You would rather spend your money on a down payment on the house, or buy a new car, or plan an epic honeymoon than spend your wedding budget on your wedding day. How you choose to spend your money is up to you.
Maybe you're an introvert who hates being the center of attention and doesn't want all those eyeballs on you while you say "I do" and declare your love to your best friend. It's ok to not want to share that moment with a lot of people.
You don't want to succumb to family pressure around your wedding and making it more traditional than you want. We get it…families can be tough sometimes and weddings sometimes can bring out the worst in families. An elopement or micro-wedding may be the right move for you.
You would rather spend the day with just your partner or a small group of friends or family instead of spreading your time between 80-100 guests and feeling obligated to play host instead of being the guests of honor.
You WANT to elope.
Don't let anyone tell you how your wedding should look like. It's your day and if you choose to elope over having a large wedding, that's your choice and your choice is valid. Do what makes you happy and do what feels right for you. Then surround yourself with those who support you.
We are here to stand with you in your elopement decision and make this as stress-free as possible while supporting you in what you want your elopement to look like. That's why we are here to give you suggestions and recommendations, but it's your day and your elopement. We're just here to help you pull off your best day ever.
